Introduction

 

Divinity Gaming Code of Conduct is written out in such format for ease of reading as well as ease of navigation.

 

This Code of Conduct applies to all; Visitors, Members, Streamers, Admins, and Owners with in the community. There is no exception to this Code of Conduct.

Section 1: General Information

 

Reporting & Speaking Up

 

Divinity Gaming Staff operates an open door policy in which offers every user in our community a chance to speak about their questions, concerns, and requests. Divinity Gaming Staff encourages their members to report all matters of broken rules or breaches of the community Code of Conduct. This includes Members and Staff a like without repercussions of the report unless a false accusation is made.

 

Ways to contact a Divinity Gaming Staff Member:

  • Discord Direct Message

  • Requesting to speak to a Divinity Gaming staff member in private

 

No Retaliation

 

The “No Retaliation” clause of the Community Code of Conduct states that Members & Staff whom report a concern in good faith will not be subject to any adverse reactions or retaliations from higher staff members or members of the community.

 

Examples of Reactions or Retaliations are as follow:
 

  • Unfair dismissal, demotion, or suspension of staff members

  • Unfair Denial of a promotion or transfer to a Staff Member

  • Bullying and harassment either in discord or in game

  • Exclusionary behavior

  • Any other behavior that singles out the person unfairly

 

 

Equal Opportunity

 

The community will not tolerate discrimination of any sort.

 

Ways of discrimination can include but are not limited to:

 

  • Race

  • Age

  • Religion

  • Gender (or lack there of)

  • National Origin

  • Sexual Orientation (or Lack there of)

  • Marital status

  • Disability

  • Social Status

  • Situational Status (includes but not limited to financial or living status’)

 

 

 

 

Harassment

 

Harassment can take many forms and is not only physical or vocal harassment.

 

Some situations of harassment are as follows:

 

  • Yelling at someone for little to no reason

  • Humiliating someone

  • Violence or intimidation

  • Unwanted sexual advances, invasions, invitations or comments

  • Visual Displays within any of our services, such as derogatory or sexually-oriented pictures, videos, or gestures

  • Stalking

  • Threats or Demands to submit to sexual requests as a condition of including or to avoid negative consequences.

 

Bullying

 

The Divinity Gaming Staff is committed to ensuring that our members are within a safe and respectful environment that is free of bullying.

 

Bullying Can Include but is not limited to:

 

  • Spreading malicious rumor or gossip

  • Excluding or isolating someone socially

  • Establishing impossible guidelines

  • Withholding necessary information or purposefully giving the wrong information

  • Intimidating someone

  • Impeding someone else work, building, or playing

  • Unfairly denying any sort of training, lessons, or teachings

  • Constantly changing guidelines

  • Sending offensive jokes or Direct Messages

  • Criticizing or belittling someone constantly & unnecessarily

  • Tampering with someone’s personal belongings or environment

Section 2: Privacy & Social Media

 

Privacy

 

Divinity Gaming complies with the requirements of the United States and international privacy laws. Users and members agree to any information provided by accepting the communities Terms of Use as well as the Privacy Policy.

 

Confidentiality

 

The Divinity Gaming Staff holds Confidentiality of our users & customers above all else, this includes all proprietary information including but is not limited to:

 

  • Customer Lists

  • Supplier Lists

  • Pricing Information

  • Terms of Contracts

  • Community Policies and procedures

  • Financial statements

  • Marketing Plans and strategies

 

External Communication on behalf of the community

 

Representations of the company must be over viewed by a member of staff at any given point if requested to give a statement about the community. This does not mean to impede on the users right of free speech but is requested that a member of staff proof read and or speak on the users behalf.

 

Use of Community Social Media

 

Social Media provides the community opportunities to network and create exposure of the community and the community brand, but there are risks associated with Community Member use of it.

 

The community respects the right of it’s Staff members use of Social Media for personal purposes. Staff members are responsible for complying with community policies and procedures when communicating on it’s social media. Staff Members are accountable for any information they publish online.

 

When responding as a community representative staff members are required to:

 

  • Reveal their relationship with the community when commenting online on issues related to the community

  • Respect the privacy of other members and refrain from publishing photos not released and given explicit permission by the owner.

  • Ensure any information that is posted relating to the community is accurate

  • Comply with the rules and standards of the sites that are being used.

 

 

When Responding as a community representative staff members must not:

 

  • “Pretext”, or pretend to be someone they are not

  • Speak on behalf of the community if they are not expressly authorized to do so

  • Share confidential information about the community or it’s members

  • Post comments or pictures that could harm the community’s brand, reputation, commercial interests, and or it’s members

Section 3: Financial

 

Bribery & Facilitation of Payments

 

The Community will not attempt or facilitate any sort of bribery or facilitation of payments to any persons of government, or staffing positions within the community.

 

The Community does not permit facilitation (or “grease”) payments to any website or platform to enhance marketing or stance of the community.

 

 

Gifts & Entertainment

 

While gifts and Entertainment among community members can and should be appropriate ways to strengthen tires and build goodwill withing the community, they also have potential to create the perception that decisions are influenced by them. The community is committed to using products and services in which are purchased by Staff.

 

 

Charitable Contributions

 

The Community may hold charity giveaways, charity game nights, and charity streams to assist with charitable contributions to causes and organizations.

Section 4: Records & Technology

 

Record Keeping

 

All Documents, databases, and photos shared with the community via email, discord, or through any other means are held with the highest most confidentiality unless specified otherwise by the owner of the Document, Database, and or photos.

 

 

Protection and Proper Use of Community Assets

 

The Community requires all members and users to protect all of it’s assets, all assets should be used for legitimate purposes, efficiently and for community business only.

 

Some assets include but are not limited to:

 

  • Servers

  • Discord

  • Website

  • Voice Over IP services

  • Store

 

Information Technology

 

The community expects it’s staff to help safeguard all publicly accessible services such as but is not limited to;

 

  • Game Servers

  • Voice over IP services

  • Store Services

Code of Conduct Acknowledgement

 

By accepting the Community Code of Conduct you acknowledge that:

 

  1. You have read the entire code of conduct and understand your responsibilities related to it
     

  2. You have had the opportunity to ask questions to clarify any unclear aspects of the code of conduct
     

  3. You agree to abide by it’s principals
     

  4. You agree to report to the Community Staff any violations of the code
     

  5. You agree to cooperate in any investigations of violations of the code of conduct.
